Case Study .01

For individuals

Situation: I have been working with a woman who described herself as feeling stuck and uncertain. She expressed concerns about her career direction, relationships with certain family members and friends, and how to achieve her personal goals. She also wanted to understand how to get the people in her life to understand her better and change the way they spoke to her. We discussed the idea that while she couldn’t make other people change, she could focus on changing herself. Through many discussions, we explored different approaches to handle situations that were negatively affecting her both professionally and personally.

Outcome: After working together for a few months, she reported feeling empowered to make changes in her life. She expressed that it had been a long time since she felt this way. With her more positive outlook, she is now ready to implement changes in her life. Additionally, she has learned new skills to approach difficult conversations with the people she cares about, leading to more productive and meaningful interactions.

Case Study .02

For business

Situation: Being a small company with 13 employees at our first dental practice location, and just 12 employees at our second location, we were experiencing daily conflicts between employees at both locations, which was causing a complete lack of staff cohesion, heightened employee sensitivity levels, constant drama, as well as creating tension, due to the different communication styles and misinterpretations between employees.

We tried countless one-on-one meetings, entire team sessions, after-hours events and motivational speakers in an attempt to diffuse the issues. All of these things only helped for a very short period of time and then all of the old problems and bad habits would creep back in and with a vengeance

Outcome: After Deb completed two different training sessions with our employees, we started seeing a change. Our employees started behaving more positive, with better interaction with each other and an overall improvement to our workplace culture. In Deb’s workshops, she addressed handling cultural issues in a healthcare setting, the importance of maintaining positive team dynamics, treating each other with respect, and taught our employees how to better handle conflicts with other personalities that are different than theirs by improving their communication skills with fun team-building activities.
